Goals of Asian Tropics
Asian Tropics will advance Denver Zoo’s mission of wildlife conservation and education. Strategically located on the south side of the zoo, the 10-acre Asian Tropics will be the first exhibit in a planned Asian zone that will grow to nearly 20 acres with the completion of the Millennium Master Plan.
Asian Tropics will:
- Demonstrate that it is possible to save animals by helping people.
- Create critically needed Asian elephant and Indian rhino breeding facilities in North America.
- Provide the highest quality animal care, with a focus on safety, health and quality of life.
- Design an environmentally conscious, sustainable animal exhibit.
- Support field conservation and research in Southeast Asia.
