Clouded Leopards Arrive at Denver Zoo – Two female clouded leopards arrived at Denver Zoo in late August and are behind the scenes at Predator Ridge until they can be moved into their new digs in Asian Tropics. Both leopards are 10 years old and were born at the Oakhill Center for Rare & Endangered Species in Oklahoma City. Mattie and Tenchi came from Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Fla., and are adjusting to their new environs. They will move into the clouded leopard building when
Asian Tropics construction is complete this fall in preparation to open the exhibit in late spring of 2012. Clouded leopards are listed as a vulnerable species with less than 10,000 in the wild. Learn more.

Zoo Sponsors Denver Gorilla Run – Have you ever wanted to run, walk, bike or rollerblade in a gorilla costume? Here's your chance in the Denver Gorilla Run on Saturday, October 29. Participants race 3.5 miles through Lower Downtown Denver in a gorilla suit in an event sponsored by Denver Zoo.
