Asian Tropics Construction Nears Final Stages – Asian Tropics construction is nearing its final phase. The gibbon building is complete and awaiting arrival of animals. Other facilities nearing completion: Rhino-tapir building, El Pomar Asian Pavilion, clouded leopard building and the Clayton F. Freiheit Elephant Building. Landscaping is nearly complete, except for planters near the entrance of the elephant building and on the east side of the exhibit, where much of the construction work remains. Go Green and Save at Boo At The Zoo – Orange and black are usually the colors of Halloween, but Denver Zoo wants you to be "green" for this year's 27th Boo At The Zoo. Visitors who ride their bike or take the bus or light rail to the zoo on either October 29 or 30 will receive $2 off admission.
