Groucho
Greetings to Groucho – A 41-year-old male Asian elephant from Fort Worth Zoo arrived safely at Denver Zoo and is getting acquainted with his new state-of-the-art indoor quarters. He is the second male elephant to arrive in the zoo's new Toyota Elephant Passage and is now the zoo's largest resident at approximately 11,000 pounds. The zoo's oldest elephants, females Mimi and Dolly, moved to the exhibit in December and a 7-year-old male named Bodhi joined the zoo in November. Guests can see them all when Toyota Elephant Passage opens to the public on June 1. Learn more about Groucho.
