Komodo Dragons
Komodos Score Cuteness Touchdown – Denver Zoo's Komodo dragons offer a scaly alternative that rivals the Super Bowl and the almost as popular Puppy Bowl in entertainment. Check out this video of the zoo's six young Komodo dragons during a recent exercise period. You can see the Komodo dragons exercising periodically inside Tropical Discovery and one juvenile can always be seen inside the nursery near the Komodo dragon exhibit.

Community Leadership Project

Zoo Enlightens Young Minds – Denver Zoo's Community Leadership Project enlightens third- through sixth-grade students about environmental science. This service-learning program empowers students to educate and engage their community through eco-friendly projects. Zoo outreach staff will visit local schools and discuss the importance of 2012 as the Year of Water in Colorado and the international year of bats. On April 20, participants are invited to Denver Zoo's Earth Day event, Party for the Planet, to showcase their efforts and inform zoo guests what they can do locally to aid the environment. Summer Safari

Summer Safari Registration Continues – Summer Safari Registration is underway! Don't let your kids miss out on this wild summer vacation. Kids can participate in Animal Olympics or become World Wildlife Investigators. This fun-filled educational experience is for animal lovers from Pre-K through 8th grades. Campers participate in hands-on activities, zoo exploration, animal encounters and observations, crafts, games, stories, projects, and more.
