Asian Small-Clawed Otters Move into Toyota Elephant Passage – Two Asian small-clawed otters are swimming around inside their new home in Toyota Elephant Passage. The playful duo represents a new species to Denver Zoo. They are 10-year-old male, Barry Kirin (Keer-in), and 7-year-old female, Asha (Ah-sha). Barry Kirin comes from Georgia Aquarium while Asha comes from the National Zoo in Washington D.C. Visitors can see the two enjoying their large swim channel inside the Eisinger Family Small-Clawed Otter Exhibit in Toyota Elephant Passage once it opens to the public on June 1. See an Old Face in a New Space – You might see female grizzly bear Hum getting cozy in one of the polar bear yards on your next trip to the zoo. Zookeepers moved her to the zoo's Northern Shores habitat as they made minor improvements inside of the zoo's Bear Mountain exhibit, which she shared with fellow grizzly bears Tundra and Kootenai. Hum's zookeepers decided that she was pretty comfortable in the new home and decided to let her stay. Watch video of Hum in Northern Shores here.
