Elephants Wow Crowds in Toyota Elephant Passage –
Have you seen the new Toyota Elephant Passage demonstration yet? Male Asian elephants Bodhi and Groucho have been delighting guests all summer at the McGrath Family Amphitheater as they show off their swimming skills. Right now guests will likely just see the boys, but eventually zookeepers hope more animals join in the fun. This year's Ice Cream Social, held August 11 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. just keeps getting better! In addition to the carefully crafted ice cream from Boulder Ice Cream, Hammond's Candies will offer tasty toppings to create the perfect sundae. Celebrate 15 Years of Brew –
A favorite for beer connoisseurs, Brew At The Zoo, presented by Anadarko, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on September 7. The event will run from 7 – 10 p.m. and feature 40 of Colorado’s local breweries and 20 local restaurants. Guests can purchase a preview ticket to enter the event early at 6 p.m. or get a discounted designated driver ticket. Advanced Inquiry Program Comes to Denver Zoo –
Denver Zoo is excited to announce the Advanced Inquiry Program, a unique opportunity for teachers and working professionals to further their higher education. Through a partnership with Miami University in Ohio, Denver Zoo will host this master’s degree program which focuses on global conservation. Applications will be accepted from September 2012 until February 28, 2013 for summer enrollment. Learn more and apply for the program here.
