New bongo "Emma" tries out her yard -
Emma, a two-year-old, female bongo from Virginia Zoo just started exploring her new yard at Denver Zoo this week. She comes to the zoo through a Species Survival Plan recommendation to pair with male, Jester. The two just began sharing the same yard today. Bongos are the largest forest antelope species in Africa, measuring about four feet tall and up to ten feet long. Watch video of Emma and Jester playfully sparring here.
