Polar Bear
Encouraging Natural Behaviors in Polar Bears - Denver Zoo staff creatively promotes natural behaviors in all of its animals. For polar bears, that means encouraging them to search for food, get plenty of exercise and manipulate large objects. Zookeepers accomplish this by hiding treats for them to sniff out and providing large toy balls to coax them into the water. Finding ways to encourage these natural behaviors helps our animals stay healthy and happy at the zoo. Watch video of polar bears exploring.
