Summer Safari
Summer Safari Day Camps are Filling Fast - Summer Safari registration is now open for all sessions and camps are filling up! The week-long day camps are for kids Pre-K through 8th grade and run from June 3 through August 9. The fun-filled educational curriculum is based on Colorado Academic Standards and camp themes vary by grade level. They are the perfect way for your animal-loving little ones to get in touch with the natural world and enjoy hands-on activities, animal encounters, crafts, games, stories and projects they can only experience at the zoo. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't wait – Register now!

Learn What it Takes to Work at a Zoo - Future 8th graders who dream of working at the zoo are also encouraged to sign up for "My Future, My Zoo," a special session of Summer Safari running June 10-14. Participants will be able to experience hands-on, authentic activities with zoo keepers, veterinarians, conservation biologist, horticulturists and educators who are helping to secure a better world for animals through human understanding. Sign Up for February Mini-Safaris - Let your kids spend a day, or two, in a Mini-Safari Camp at Denver Zoo on those days when they don't have school. February features two Mini Safari opportunities. On February 18 and 19, kids can learn about the animals of Toyota Elephant Passage and Predator Ridge, respectively, taking virtual journeys though either tropical Asia or the African savanna. Spend Spring Break at Denver Zoo - Camp opportunities continue in March during Spring Break! Learn about the lives and stories of the animals at Denver Zoo's Spring Safari, a week-long day camp March 25-29. Participants will get to explore and create in this imaginative camp and connect the animals that live at Denver Zoo with animals featured in popular children's literature and cultural stories. Scholarship Support Available for camps - Prospective campers can also apply for a scholarship through The Red Apple Scholarship Fund, which makes it possible for all individuals, no matter their economic circumstances, to discover the wonders of animals through participation in Denver Zoo education programs, including Safari Camp programs.
