Denver Zoo has been working in Mongolia for over 15 years and helped establish Ikh Nart Nature Reserve. Ikh Nart harbors a wide diversity of plant and animal species, including 33 mammals, 6 reptiles, 125 birds, and over 200 plants.

Mongolian Animal Facts:
Argali sheep Argali sheep are the largest sheep in the world and are listed as endangered due to habitat loss and the introduction of domestic sheep that compete with the argali sheep for grazing areas
Pallas Cat Pallas Cat has the longest and densest fur of any cat, especially on the underside of its body. This provides good insulation for lying on frozen ground and snow.
