The International Wildlife Media Center (IWMC) works to promote awareness, knowledge, and understanding of wildlife, habitat, people, and nature through excellence in film, television, and other media. Founded in 1977, the International Wildlife Film Festival (run by IWMC) was the first wildlife film festival in the world to focus global attention on scientific accuracy, ethical film practices, and excellence in the craft. Denver Zoo supports the International Wildlife Media Center through financial contributions, and Dr. Dave Augeri (DZF) serves on the Board of Directors.
IWMC offers programs and services ranging from wildlife filmmaking summer camp to professional and amateur film and video workshops. Their video library is one of the largest lending libraries of wildlife and natural history films in the world. IWFF helps to complete a global picture of our world through film, television, and other media.
