OUTREACH SENIOR PROGRAMS

Using the principles of animal-assisted therapy to provide enriching experiences to the senior community

Who: Up to 30 participants
Length: 45 minutes
Cost: For program dates between 1/1/08 and 5/31/08,$75 per program.   For program dates after 6/1/08, $100 per program.  Scholarships are available through Denver Zoo's Red Apple Fund.

Denver Zoo Outreach offers two different versions of Senior Safari. 
Each version is similar in nature, but provides for different animal visitors and touchable biofacts. 
When scheduling, please indicate the ability levels of your group, or any special needs, so that we may provide the best experience possible.

OUTREACH BOOTH PROGRAMS

Informal booths for fairs, festivals, and events.  These events are limited in times and availability due to the nature of animals and touchable animal specimens/biofacts.  Email outreach@denverzoo.org with questions.
We offer a limited amount of free programs:

• Biofacts (such as skins and bones) and zoo promotional materials
• No live animals
• 3 hour maximum

Paid booth programs

• 2-3 live, touchable animals
• Biofacts and zoo promotional materials
• 3 hour maximum
• For program dates before 6/1/08 cost $100 for first hour, $75 for each additional hour.  For program dates 6/1/08 and after $125 for first hour and $75 for each additional hour.
  

OUTREACH ADULT PROGRAMS

Providing a wildlife education resource to adults & sharing the mission of the Denver Zoo with the community

Denver Zoo Speakers Bureau
Who:  Up to 60 participants
Time: 45-60 minutes
Cost: FREE within SCFD
Other: This program does NOT include live animals

• Meet Zoo volunteers for an enjoyable and educational PowerPoint presentation and lecture.
• Learn about the Denver Zoo's mission in our community.
• Three programs to choose from:
     - Zoo Babies
     - Conservation Connections  
     - What We Do at Denver Zoo
