It's Family fun!
No doubt about it, Denver Zoo is a popular place for children! That's why we've put together special programs designed just for kids. These programs are led by staff, contract instructors and volunteers who have backgrounds in early childhood and elementary education, animal behavior and environmental education. All personnel who work with children have completed background checks.

NEW! - Denver Zoo Keeper Experience
Ever wonder what it's like to be a zookeeper? Come spend a morning with Denver Zoo Education animal keepers while you learn about what is involved in being a zookeeper and have the opportunity to get some hands on experience working around live animals.
New Maps Guide Fun and Learning - Denver Zoo is excited to partner with The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development in the creation of a special map to encourage learning through play. The seasonal activity map, developed for families with children ages one to six-years-old, will feature 20 different areas around the zoo for kids to find, explore and experience. The current map can be picked up at special signs at the zoo or you can download it here. Following your visit, kids can stop by the Kibongi Gift Shop and pick up a sticker to add to their maps. By using the map as a guide, you can plan your visit ahead of time and create an amazing experience your entire family will enjoy.
