4-5 year olds, on their own
Children delve into the amazing animal world through animal encounters and observations, zoo tours, interactive activities and sensory experiences. KinderQuest is an opportunity for your child to practice social skills, learn about animals and have fun at the zoo with other children of the same age, without parents.
One session per day $20 members/$22 non-members
Two sessions on Friday (with supervised lunch time Noon-1pm) $42 members/$46 non-members

Rockin’ Reptiles
These cold-blooded critters are the kings of cool…but spend hours basking on rocks in the sun. Explore the reptilian world of snakes, lizards, and turtles, and strike a note with your favorite ‘rock’ star!

Plop…plop…frogs like to hop! What’s the difference between a frog and a toad? Come to the zoo and find out – it’s a toad-ly awesome experience!

If I Ran the Zoo: Zoo Vet
Put on your zoo vet scrubs and pretend with us as we find out what would happen if you ran the zoo… Do zebras need band-aids for skinned knees? Would you keep the polar bears in bed if they felt too warm? Play along as we learn what the best choices for animal care really are. Another new play-based class for KinderQuest!

What’s so good about being small? Discover some of the neatest eensy-weensy animals at the zoo, then find out what the BIG deal is about being large, and meet some gargantuan giants, too!

Can you run like a cheetah? Do you finish your dinner with the speed of a turtle? Hey, that’s OK! Explore why some animals are fast, some are slow, and why both are good ways to be!

Feathers and Scales
If you don’t have fur or slimy skin, you’ve probably got feathers or scales to live in. Seek out zoo animals that are feathered and scaly, and go home with tales of touching reptile tail-ies!
