Tot Trekkers

TotTrekkers: 2 - 3 year olds with adult

Play-based activities, animal visits, age-appropriate crafts and fun stories make this a special time for tots and parents to learn about their favorite Denver Zoo animals.  Classes are open to 2-3 year olds with adults only.  Please consider our Family Book Club offerings for classes where toddlers and infants can attend together.

$12 for child with adult member /$15 for child with adult non-member
$4 for each additional child, $8 for each additional adult

What Makes a Mammal a Mammal?
Which animals are mammals?  The feathered ones or scaly beasts?  Or the furry ones with padded feet?   Discover the sometimes cute and cuddly world of mammals.

Ele-Fun! - FULL!
Grow big elephant feet to wade through a pool, flap your elephant ears to help keep you cool, use your elephant trunk to bathe and to eat, and have TONS of fun with the ‘ellies’ we’ll meet!

Around the World: North Pole Polar Bears!
Strap on your snowshoes as we travel on a pretend trek to the North Pole to meet big, furry white predators – the polar bears!  Part of our Around the World series.

Around the World: South Pole Penguins!
Pull on your parka and prepare for chills as we continue our pretend journey to the South Pole, where we meet waddling birds that swim but don’t fly…penguins, naturally!  Part of our Around the World series.

Where Wolves?
Where in the zoo can you see a long-legged predator stalking through the grass?  Where can you learn more about being part of the ‘pack’?  Where can you hear a howl at the moon?  Where the wolves are, of course!

What Makes a Bird a Bird?

Flutter in for a fun class exploring our feathered friends!  Is it the feathers that make the bird?  The eggs?  The beak?  Find out the ‘down’ low on animals with wings…and meet some real bird brains, too!
