In celebration of International Migratory Bird Day, discover how to identify local birds from Master Birder, Alison Kondler. The first hour of the class is inside listening to the calls followed by a bird walk with bird keeper staff in Carousel Meadows. This class is free, however has limited space available. Keeper Bird Walks throughout the Day
Visit Denver Zoo on Saturday, May 16, to test drive a Toyota and receive FREE admission for two adults! This Toyota Safari Ride and Drive event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature a variety of Toyota vehicles. If you're already a zoo member, test drive a Toyota and Your Neighborhood Toyota Stores will make a $30 donation to the Denver Zoo's Scholarship Fund.
Lace up your running shoes and get ready for the Colfax Half Marathon on Sunday, May 17. This is the only race that allows you to run through the Zoo, as well as Denver’s historic neighborhoods. Participants can even sign up to run on behalf of Denver Zoo. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to raise funds for a great cause – animals! For more information click here.

Bring your stuffed animals and their kid caretakers to our second annual Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday, September 19, presented in partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado. Families can walk around the Zoo to different stations where volunteers and staff will provide “medical” procedures for stuffed animals while educating young guests about healthy habits. Guests will also learn about the excellent care zookeepers and veterinarians provide the animals here at the Zoo and get to meet Elbert, the Zoo and Children’s Hospital Colorado’s mascot, at the Zoo’s Explore the Shore Play Area, Presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado.
