This realistic virtual reality experience puts you in the heart of African jungle with a real troop of Critically Endangered gorillas. Through high-definition footage filmed in Rwanda’s remote Volcanoes National Park, you’ll go on an immersive adventure with renowned primatologist Dr. Tara Stoinski. From adorable infants to intimidating alpha silverbacks, you’ll get a 360-degree of the troop’s fascinating family dynamics!

Stingray Cove™

Feed & Touch Sea Life.

Stingray Cove is a seasonal, open-air interactive experience that allows you to get up-close and personal with four beautiful species of sea life. Inspired by the unique landscape and vibrant culture of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, this permanent seasonal open-air exhibit gives you the chance to touch and feed gentle cownose and southern stingrays as they swoop and glide freely around the 15,000-gallon tank they share with peaceful bamboo and bonnethead sharks.

  • Guests must rinse their hands before entering the pool space

Rainbows of fun!

Step into Lorikeet Adventure and you’ll be greeted by the cheerful chirps of Denver Zoo’s most vibrant residents. Lorikeet Adventure is home to a variety of lorikeets, small, brightly-colored parrots from Australia and the South Pacific. Stroll through the open aviary as lorikeets fly overhead and learn more about these acrobats of the tropics from zookeepers and volunteers. Looking to get even closer? Visitors can opt to pay and hand feed the birds from a cup of nectar as they perch right on your arm. This unforgettable experience is great for visitors of all ages.

Conservation Carousel

You can also take a trip around the animal world on Denver Zoo’s Conservation Carousel! It features hand-carved wooden replicas of some of Denver’s most popular residents including giraffes, okapi, and baby gorillas.

Denver Zoo Railroad

Climb aboard the Denver Zoo Railroad, presented by Union Pacific Railroad. Perfect for families with little ones, the train offers a quick trip around the zoo’s carousel meadow filled with beautiful lush foliage, under the shade of 100-year-old trees. Hop aboard and enjoy seeing our American and Chilean flamingos and other waterfowl just outside the zoo’s Primate Panorama exhibit.
