Feathered Friends February



Find new feathered friends at Denver Zoo this February. Connect with birds from colorful little lorikeets to majestic Red-crowned cranes. Learn about birds at keeper talks and special demonstrations daily. Get to know all fifteen feathered friends and enter to win a special feathered friends experience.

Find out how keepers care for all sorts of birds like owls, hawks or even macaws.

1:30 Wild Encounters

Daily at Wild Encounters Amphitheater-Gates Center

Visit one of our bird animal ambassadors and get a chance to chat with the keepers that care for them.

Enter to win our feathered friends contest!

You can win a behind-the-scenes tour and special bird experience. Pick up a contest form inside the front entry of Bird World. Find all our fifteen featured feathered friends and write down what you found out about each one.  Contest forms can be submitted at Bird World or the Boettcher Welcome Center. Contest winners will be notfied the week of March 5th.
