Implementing Your Animal Wellness Program
Join us in Denver for an interactive workshop that will cover meeting the AZA Accreditation Standards, building an interdisciplinary animal wellness program, developing assessment tools for all taxa (including those housed in large groups), and improving the interpersonal skills necessary for program success. The workshop will include lectures, group discussions, and interactive activities both in the classroom and out in the zoo.

Workshop accommodations will be at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel, located at 3801 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80207. The room rate is $139 plus tax per night. Reservations can be made by calling 303-399-7500. Please mention the Denver Zoo Animal Wellness Workshop when making your reservation in order to receive the discounted rate.
Participants flying into Denver International Airport will have multiple options for travel to and from the hotel, including train, Uber, taxi, Super Shuttle, rental car, or personal vehicle. The train is very affordable at $9 each way. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Central Park Train Station. Hotel shuttle service can be obtained by calling the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel at 303-399-7500. Transportation between the hotel and the zoo will be provided each workshop day.
Early Bird $350, $400 after December 1, 2018
Registration fee includes three days of instruction, all course materials, breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and one dinner as well as transportation between the hotel and Denver Zoo each workshop day. The workshop can accommodate 20 participants. Registration will be on a first come-first serve basis with preference being given to attendees from AZA-accredited facilities. Spots in the workshop will not be held without both registration and payment. Registrations will not be accepted after January 1, 2019.
