Appreciation, Commemoration, and Celebration Opportunities

Have you ever wanted a unique way to honor the people in your life that matter most?

Do you know someone who is passionate about Denver Zoo and its mission? Leave a lasting impression when you honor and celebrate a loved one by donating to Denver Zoo. With a donation like this you are also helping our visitors discover a passion for animals on a local and global scale.

You may honor or memorialize an individual(s) with any gift to Denver Zoological Foundation. In addition, naming opportunities are available throughout the Zoo, including: benches, sculptures, carousel animals, gardens, sculptures, train seats, and elsewhere. Supply can be limited.

Sculptures

Stainless-steel animal sculptures begin at Denver Zoo’s main entrance, and weave throughout the Zoo. The animals depicted were designed specifically for Denver Zoo by artist Heath Satow. A brass plaque bearing the inscription of your choosing will be located in close proximity to the sculpture.

Benches

Benches are available in each area of the Zoo and come in many designs. A brass plaque bearing the inscription of your choosing can be placed on the bench.

Amphitheater Seating

The bleachers that surround the majestic waterfalls at McGrath Family Foundation Amphitheatre in Toyota Elephant Passage, make an incredible gift for the elephant lover in your life. A brass plaque bearing the inscription of your choosing can be affixed to the bleachers.

Gardens & Trees

From leafy oaks to annual flower beds, adopting a living tree and garden is a beautiful way to honor a loved one. We will work with you to pick out your preferred garden and tree. A stone plaque bearing the inscription of your choosing will be placed at the base of the garden bed or tree.

Train Seats & Coaches

The train at Denver Zoo has been an iconic feature of our campus for nearly five decades. It features large, comfortable seats, and higher coaches that offer views of surrounding areas. The train circles the Zoo’s Woodland Garden and passes by the Conservation Carousel.

Each seat and coach provides a naming opportunity and comes with a personalized brass plaque.

Carousel

In 2001, Denver Zoo opened the Conservation Carousel, featuring 48 hand-carved animals representing rare and endangered species around the world. All animals are hand-painted and finished with eight coats of clear enamel, ensuring the color and detail will stand the test of time and climate.

A personalized plaque with your special message will hang just below the identification information of the animal. The plaque reflects the vibrant colors and design of the carousel. Supply is limited.
