Super Cooper

Denver Zoo Rhino Keeper Dave Johnson bonded with one of our young guests by giving him a special meet-and-greet with Rudy, our black rhino. Dave noticed that "Super Cooper" had been on oxygen and took some time to learn more about him from his family. Cooper was born with leukemia, had a bone-marrow transplant and then a heart-transplant. The family could see City Park and the Zoo from their hospital room, and promised their son a visit to the Zoo once they left the hospital. Both Rudy and Cooper are resilient in the face of adversity, watch to learn more about their similarities!
