Membership 101

Your membership is valid for one full year from the time of purchase.

In addition to free daytime admission for a year, Denver Zoo members receive train and carousel vouchers, food and merchandise discounts, access to exclusive members-only hours during peak months, 2 guest vouchers annually, special Zoo Lights privileges, and more. From March 18 through October 31, Denver Zoo is open exclusively to members from 8:30 a.m.–10:00 a.m. This is also when many of our animals are most active and/or visible—so the early birds really do get the worms!

1. Online, anytime, by clicking the link. 

1. By phone—call the Guest Care Center at 720-337-1400 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., seven days a week. MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and Discover card are accepted. 

1. In person—visit our Concierge, located just inside the Zoo's Main Entrance, seven days a week, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. March 18 through October 31, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. November 1 through March 17. 

Reservations are required for all guests, even members—and even during exclusive member hours. This enables us to forecast attendance and ensure a wonderful experience for everyone on campus.  

Member reservations may be made up to 15 days in advance. To make a reservation, simply visit our Membership Page, click “RESERVE MEMBER TICKETS,” log in, and select your desired dates and times.

If you unable to use your reserved time slot, it’s easy to cancel your reservation using the Denver Zoo app—just log in, click “MY TICKETS” AND “CANCEL.” Your cancellation enables us to offer this spot to another guest, particularly during sold-out days.

If you need to reschedule your reservation, click here. Log in to your account and select  the tickets you'd like to reschedule. You'll be able to select a new date and time.

You must be at least 16 years or older to have a membership in your name. 

In an effort to reduce our environmental footprint, Denver Zoo membership cards are now digital, and are stored on our mobile app. If there is a need for a plastic membership card, our Concierge can print one upon request. Login issues? Please email, call us at 720-337-1400, or stop by the Concierge so that we can reset your online access.

No, your membership card(s) and associated privileges are not transferable. Your membership has tremendous value.* To protect the rights of our members, we will ask to see your photo ID, such as a driver's license, at the time of your visit.

No. At this time, we do not participate in any reciprocity programs.

In addition to providing world-class care for our 3,000 wild and wonderful animals, your membership supports our wildlife conservation efforts in Colorado and worldwide. Since 1996, the Zoo has participated in more than 600 conservation projects in 62 countries spanning six continents. Your membership helps make all of this possible—thank you!

Our daily Animal Talks + Demonstrations schedule is always available on the app, as well as on the Visit page of our website.

Denver Zoo is a non-profit organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue code. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to determine if your purchase or donation is tax deductible in whole or in part.

Member reservations are available 15-days out on a rolling basis. We do require reservations for all guests in order to better manage demand and the guest experience at the zoo. Please note that there may be days and times when there is a difference in availability between member reservations and general public tickets. We rely on both membership dues along with admission sales to support our mission and the care of our more than 3,000 animals.
